"A Man for All Seasons"

  1. “A Man For all Seasons” proves to be a more adequate depiction of Jesus in face of power and his beliefs. Thomas Moore does not resort to violence of physical or emotional nature in order to stand up for what he believes in. When King Henry insists that he sign the Oath of Supremacy that recognizes the king as the Supreme Governor, Thomas Moore does not fall victim to the power. Other Roman Catholics, though it was against their religion, signed the oath without hesitation because it saved them from the charge of treason. Thomas Moore however, failed to be enslaved by the power, standing behind his beliefs quietly but strongly, just as Jesus did.
